Blackdog XTreme depth scanner metal detector
Blackdog X-Treme is a professional depth scanning metal detector and works with Pi technology. Through this technology and the frame probes depths up to 8 meters can be reached. Due to the multi-frequency and the autotrack function which is automatically executed every 0.5 sec, this device is very quiet. Due to the large area coverage, this metal detector is ideally suited for meteorite hunting.
Control:
- DELAY : Helps to remove small metal objects at shallow depths and also to remove mineralization in the Ground to be cancelled. The lower the value, the more depth you get. By increasing the value, unwanted objects such as aluminum foil, lead pieces or other metals can be sorted out, but the depth of the detector may be affected.
- TX-BOOST: This controller regulates the transmit pulse width. The higher it is set, the more depth is achieved, but the battery life decreases. When searching on strongly mineralized Grounds it is recommended to decrease the value to avoid false signals.
- FREQ: Frequency control adjustable between the values of 95Hz-125Hz. This control helps eliminate electrical interference when searching near power lines or other sources of interference. For optimal frequency matching we are looking for with the help of the GAIN- Setting after a slight threshold level. If we find that the threshold tone has many variations, we turn the FREQ- Controller slow to the right or to the left until we find the most clear Reach threshold tone. Level 3 is recommended.
- Volume: The volume control of the device is used to regulate the intensity of the sound emitted by the speaker. This control does not affect the depth of the device.
- GAIN: Depth and/or sensitivity control of the device.
- GROUND: This setting eliminates soil mineralization.
- RESET: This key is used to reset the detector in case of misalignment. It is recommended to press the button for 2-3 seconds after changing a parameter on the detector.
Easy operation
- Connect the Coil via the connector with the detector.
- Hang the detector around your neck and stand in the box. (alternatively, the probe can be guided by 2 people)
- Set the potentiometers to the following positions:

FREQ to position "3
GAIN to position "10
Volume to position "5
Place the frame on a clean Ground free from metal objects. Switch on the detector with the POWER- Key at ON- a. . The detector will beep, then hold down the RESET- Key For 3 seconds pressed, the detector should mute. If the detector continues to emit a tone outputs ,press the RESET- Button again, until the detector remains silent. With these settings, the detector is ready for the search.
Grasp the frame straps with both hands and start walking slowly. When the detector passes over a metallic object, it emits a sound and the DEPTH- Bar lights up progressively depending on the depth and size of the detected object. The detector can discriminate small superficial metal objects.
If the device emits a very short signal, the object is a small metal object.
If the signal height increases in a medium range and then slowly decreases, it means that there is a medium object at a depth of up to 3 meters.
If the signal height increases over a large area and then slowly decreases again, this means that a medium-sized object is approaching at a depth of up to 8 meters.
Used in highly mineralized Grounds searched, the rotary control should GROUND- must be set to position "9" to eliminate the mineralization. If the terrain is highly mineralized, you can use the DELAY- Value increase and the TX-BOOST- and GAIN- Reduce values.
If you are searching near power lines and the detector is affected by interference, you can use the Interference with the help of the FREQ- Control minimize.
Maintenance:
The detector is equipped with a very powerful 3400mAh LI-ION battery, which depending on the position of the TX-BOOST- Setting is possible battery life from 15 to 30 hours. . You should charge the detector when the battery level LED lights up. The approximate charging time is 3-4 hours. Charging is complete when the charging indicator light turns green.
A damp cotton cloth is recommended for cleaning the device. Please do not use chemical cleaning agents or similar, as this could damage the plastic parts.
Never use the detector indoors where there are metal objects.
Do not turn on the detector if the frame coil is not connected, as the detector may be damaged. Do not use the device in the rain, as it may be damaged.
