Blackdog Xtreme Hybrid Depth Scanner

The Blackdog HYBRIDSCAN is a powerful metal detector that combines two technologies: Induction pulses and VLF (Very Low Frequency). It is specially designed for deep search and can work with different types of coils, including 13 × 13 "MONOLOOP, 13 × 13" DD, 15 × 15 "MONOLOOP, 15 × 15" DD, 1x1m, 1.5 × 1.5m and 2x2m.

This detector is manufactured using high quality military components and is characterized by its automatic terrain tracking (AUTO-TRACK) and automatic sensitivity adjustment, which adapts to the conditions of the terrain. Although the detector has a manual control (GROUND), the system (AUTO-TRACK) automatically responds and performs automatic adjustment regardless of the position of this control.

The Blackdog HYBRIDSCAN is known for its reliability and precision in deep metal detecting. It offers professional features and advanced technologies to help you effectively discover and locate hidden treasures or meteorites.

Control:

  • DELAY : Helps to remove small metal objects at shallow depths and also to remove mineralization in the Ground to be cancelled. The lower the value, the more depth you get. By increasing the value, unwanted objects such as aluminum foil, lead pieces or other metals can be sorted out, but the depth of the detector may be affected.
  • TX-BOOST: This controller regulates the transmit pulse width. The higher it is set, the more depth is achieved, but the battery life decreases. When searching on strongly mineralized Grounds it is recommended to decrease the value to avoid false signals.
  • FREQ: Frequency control adjustable between the values of 95Hz-125Hz. This control helps eliminate electrical interference when searching near power lines or other sources of interference. For optimal frequency matching we are looking for with the help of the GAIN- Setting after a slight threshold level. If we find that the threshold tone has many variations, we turn the FREQ- Controller slow to the right or to the left until we find the most clear Reach threshold tone. Level 3 is recommended.
  • LOUDNESS: The volume control of the device is used to regulate the intensity of the sound emitted by the speaker. This control does not affect the depth of the device.
  • GAIN: Depth and/or sensitivity control of the device.
  • GROUND: With this setting the soil mineralization is eliminated.
  • RESET: This key is used to reset the detector in case of misalignment. It is recommended to press the button for 2-3 seconds after changing a parameter on the detector.

Easy operation

  1. Connect the Coil via the connector with the detector.
  2. Hang the detector around your neck and stand in the box. (alternatively, the probe can be guided by 2 people)
  3. Set the potentiometers to the following positions:

DELAY to position "0
GroundTo position "10
TX-BOOST to position "10
FREQ to position "3
GAIN to position "10
VOLUME to position "5

Place the frame on a clean Ground free from metal objects. Switch on the detector with the POWER- Switch on . . Move the switch to the rear position. The detector beeps and then press and hold the RESET- Key for 3 seconds and the detector should mute. If the detector continues to make noise submits ,press the RESET- Button again , until the detector remains silent. With these settings, the detector would be ready for the search.

Grasp the frame straps with both hands and start walking slowly. When the detector passes over a metallic object, it emits a sound and the DEPTH- Bar lights up progressively depending on the depth and size of the detected object. The detector has the ability to distinguish small metal objects on the surface.

If the pitch of the signal rises and falls rapidly in a small area, it means that the object is small and has a depth of up to 50 cm.

If the signal height increases in a medium range and then slowly decreases, it means that a medium object is found at a depth of up to 3 meters, as shown in Fig. 3.

If the signal height increases over a large area and then slowly decreases, this means that a medium-sized object will be found at a depth of up to 8 meters, as shown in Fig. 4.

Used in highly mineralized Grounds searched, the potentiometer should GROUND be set to position "9" to avoid the effects of mineralization. If the terrain is too mineralized, you can also reduce the impact by using the DELAY- Value increase and the TX-BOOST- and GAIN- Reduce values .

If you are searching near power lines and the detector is affected by interference, you can these effects with the help of the FREQ- Control minimize.
