Multi-IQ Multifrequency Technology
The Equinox 900 is the first metal detector to utilize Multi-IQ Multifrequency Technology, operating simultaneously on all frequencies. It offers search frequencies of 4, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 40 kHz. You can choose to search on a single frequency or use the Multi-IQ feature where the Equinox 900 searches on all frequencies simultaneously. Using a low frequency of 5 kHz allows for greater depth detection, while a search frequency of 40 kHz makes the detector especially sensitive to small objects and gold nuggets. With Multi-IQ technology, the benefits of all five frequencies are combined for optimal results.
Waterproof to 5 meters
Fully waterproof to 5 meters underwater, suitable for fresh and salt water, even probing in the rain is no problem with the Equinox 900.
Search Programs
Whether you're swinging in the goldfields or snorkeling on the beach, the Equinox 900 knows no boundaries and will find all targets and handle any terrain. It features 8 search modes. 2 search modes for parks, 2 for fields, 2 for beaches and 2 for gold searching. These 8 programs can be set at will and are also saved. In addition, it has a shortcut button for a custom program that you can also set to your liking. Ultimately, you can then save 9 programs.
Built-in Bluetooth including ML-85 Bluetooth headphones
The Minelab Equinox 900 has built-in Bluetooth and comes with ML-85 Low Latency Bluetooth headphones. There is also a waterproof 3.5mm jack connector for optional wired headphones or underwater headphones. In addition, the volume can be adjusted directly from the control unit.
Built-in Li-ion Battery
A built-in Li-ion battery, which is located in the handle, is rechargeable via magnetic USB connection. The battery life is approximately 10 - 12 hours. However, you can also charge the Equinox via USB using a powerbank while searching, so you can search and charge at the same time!
Weight, 2 search coils and Ground balance
The weight of the Minelab Equinox 900 metal detector is only 1.28 kg! And that's with a strong, large 28 cm DD-Coil (EQX 11). Also included is an additional 15 cm/6" (EQX 6) Coil which makes the detector even lighter. This Coil is also very suitable for searching in water and in areas where there is a lot of trash. Optionally there is also a large 38 x 30 cm-Coil (EQX 15). The Ground balance can be used automatically or manually. The manual Ground balance is important for difficult soil conditions or heavily mineralized Grounds. You can also set the device to tracking. Then the Equinox 900 automatically adjusts to the Ground.
Reaction speed
The reaction speed of the Equinox can be set in 8 levels. If you set it low, you will get maximum search depth; if you set it high, you can easily detect closely spaced objects separately. With the Equinox 900, you'll never miss an object again!
Object Identification
This metal detector features object identification with conductance values, which you can read on the clear and concise display. The conductance values run from -19 to 0 for iron objects and from 1 to 99 for detecting more valuable objects, with silver objects having higher conductance values and gold objects having a medium-high conductance value. Of course, you can also hide the iron objects from -19 to 0 using the discriminate function. The horseshoe button allows you to turn iron discrimination on and off quickly and easily.
Display illumination, key illumination and coil illumination
The Equinox 900 features red display illumination in various brightness levels, key illumination and coil illumination. The perfect device for searching at dusk or in dark areas.
Pinpoint function and software updates
A pinpoint function for recording the exact location is not missing either. With the help of the pinpoint function you can quickly and accurately excavate the objects. It is also possible to perform Equinox software updates via USB.
